A few weekends ago we went on an adventure to the Deanna Rose Childrens Farmstead in Overland Park. I found their website and it looked like fun so we loaded up the boys and left for the day. The farm had so much to do and the boys had a blast. There were horses, cows, goats, chickens, bunnies, ponies, prairie dogs, hay rides, baby goat feeding, and so much more. They only charge $2 a person to get in and then additional fees for goat feeding, hay rides, fishing ponds, and a few other activities. It was a fairly inexpensive but fun adventure.
Here is Luke feeding the baby goat a bottle. He thought it was so funny. He actually tried to drink the bottle himself a few times. Luckily I was able to stop him before it got to his mouth. Levi did a great job feeding the baby goat the bottle and loved doing it. He was bummed when the bottle was empty and it was time to move onto our next adventure.
The baby cows were so cute and the boys loved petting their backs and hearing them "moo"
Luke was "mooing" at the baby cows. There was also a chain of cowbells that you could hit and they would ring. The boys thought it was hillarious to make all the cowbells ring.
We had a great weekend and I look forward to visiting the farmstead many more times throughout the summer. There was so much we were unable to do because the boys were tired and getting fussy.
